What this site stores, and where
Notes by Pray2U is a notes site for YouTube videos. You can read it without signing in.
When you sign in with Google
- Your Google account: we use Firebase Authentication to know who you are. It receives your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
- Your notes and settings live in your own Google Drive. The site asks for permission to use a hidden folder that only this app can see (Google calls it the “app data folder”). Your notes and light/dark setting are saved there, in your Drive, not on our servers. The site can’t see any of your other Drive files.
- You can remove the site’s access at any time in your Google Account under Security → Third-party apps & services. To delete the saved notes, use Google Drive → Settings → Manage apps and delete this app’s hidden data.
AI-generated notes
- When you use “Generate transcript & summary”, the YouTube link is sent to Google’s Gemini AI. Only public videos work.
- The generated transcript and summary are saved in our database (Google Firebase) and reused for anyone who asks for the same video, so each video is only processed once.
- We also save when you last generated notes, so we can apply the limit of one generation every 3 days.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data or show ads.
- Video thumbnails and players are loaded from YouTube, under Google’s own privacy policy.
